The hot water from the heat source flows into the upper diffuser of the cooling tower and is evenly sprayed on the packing surface through the diffuser under the action of gravity. At the same time, the air enters from the air inlet grilles on both sides of the cooling tower and sweeps across the packing and forms a cross flow with the spray water. A small part of the water is evaporated to take away heat and reduce the water temperature. The hot and wet air is discharged to the surrounding atmosphere by the fan at the top, and the cooled water falls to the collecting pan and returns to the heat source.
